Easy to thermoform
Few plastics are as easy to mold as PS. Good moldability also allows you to produce complex shapes efficiently.
Clear, high-gloss surface
PS has a natural high-gloss surface and is easy to make fully crystal clear. Ideal for packaging that must display its contents clearly in a clear and appealing way.
Chilled & frozen foods
PS is approved for food contact and is ideal for packaging that must be stored chilled or frozen. The material’s hardness makes it especially suitable for break-off packaging.
Efficient thermoforming
PS is easily thermoformed into both simpler and more advanced shapes where low weight is an advantage. Its properties make PS ideal for disposable items, especially smaller ones.

PS is a thermoplastic from which we have much to gain by recycling. It’s found widely in the market and can be recycled with good results. This means you can virtually always get PS as a recycled grade and still be assured that the material in your packaging can be recycled yet again.
PS
Scanfoil PS is a foil that is easy to work with and lets you achieve good results quickly thanks to the natural properties of polystyrene. The foil is ideally suited for packaging, is approved for food contact and offers good protection against moisture.
PS is recyclable and sought after by the market.

Polystyrene retains its original properties even when recycled. This makes Scanfoil rPS a versatile thermoforming foil that also has a lower carbon footprint than PS based on virgin material. Good moldability is a property that comes naturally with Scanfoil rPS.
Recycled PS can be recycled again with its good mechanical properties retained.
Scanfoil PS with ElectroStatic Discharge is a thermoforming foil with extra protection against ESD on both sides. The foil is especially suitable for the efficient production of packaging for sensitive contents such as electronic equipment.
Scanfoil PS ESD can be recycled upon end of use to become new packaging or a new item.
