Mineral reinforced foil
Around one half of the material in our Scanfill Foil PP is replaced with minerals. The material distributes easily and evenly in the forming process, resulting in greater strength in the corners. This means you can mold your packaging using a thinner foil and less material.
Matte or gloss
In addition to the many color options, mineral reinforced PP provides a choice of matte, soft-touch or high-gloss surfaces.
Good and fast molding
Mineral reinforced PP thermoforms better and faster than pure PP as the mineral absorbs and gives off heat faster. Properties that mean more efficient productivity for you.

Freezer, fridge and microwave safe
There are few conditions that Scanfill Foil PP cannot handle. The foil keeps its contents safely packaged in the freezer, fridge or microwave oven.
Mineral + recycled PP
Our Scanfill Foil PP can consist of up to 52 percent mineral reinforcement. If you choose recycled PP for the remaining proportion of the foil, you can exclude plastic based on virgin material without compromising on function.

The high proportion of mineral reinforcement provides all Scanfill Foil materials with a lower carbon footprint compared to foils based on virgin, or fossil raw material. What’s more, mineral reinforced PP can also be recycled and reused as mineral reinforced PP. Here is a comparison between our various Scanfill Foil materials.

Scanfill Foil PP ESD is our mineral reinforced foil that combines the stiffness of the mineral and the excellent formability of polypropylene, with protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD). The foil is designed for thermoforming packaging for sensitive components and products in the electronics and manufacturing industries.
Scanfill Foil PP TAX Green is our mineral reinforced foil for faster, better thermoforming than conventional PP thanks to its mineral reinforcement. The proportion of mineral is low and can be adjusted as necessary. Depending on your preferences, your packaging may maintain low density, making it excellent for recycling.
